Blooming Yogi offers intimate group and private mat classes. Focusing on the posture, alignment and correct muscle activation of all my clients. For this reason classes are small, limited to 5 clients in a mat class.
Think of Pilates as a dear friend to your body and lifestyle. Pilates encourages a body that moves well, It increases strength, flexibility, and coordination. Therefor resulting in improved balance and better posture. You can expect focus on precision, core strength and elongating the muscles. Classes incorporate body weight exercises (BASI Foundation block system) and small equipment to give the body assistance for stabilizers to engage. You will feel light at heart and heavy in the core after these sessions.

In yoga we focus on correct alignment, intelligent and creative sequencing while putting emphasis on breathing techniques. Mindfulness and body awareness practices are included in these strength building sequences that deepens your awareness in order to achieve a calm mind.
Barre is a hybrid of Pilates and Barre work that is used in ballet. Barre gets your heart rate up and increase cardiovascular endurance, as there is little rest between exercises. Barre will help you build and strengthen your muscles, improve your posture and core strength. Every barre class is a full body workout with emphasis on core strength and reaching a point of fatigue in the muscles.
Dancer Barre Classes:
Being a dancer for many years, I have met a few injuries along the way, Pilates has healed my body. Pilates often feels natural to dancers as they focus on range of motion, this will encourage movement of dancers to be more fluid but very controlled and often results in more sophisticated movement. I use the barre method as a tool to reduce risk of injury and as well as rehabilitation work on dancers.
